Organic Puffed Quinoa by Hatton Hill Organic. Made from quinoa organically grown, harvested and dried in Bolivia. Packed in the UK.
Quinoa was first cultivated in South America at least 5,000 years ago, named chisiya mama (mother grain) in the Quechua language of the Andes. These days, it’s hugely popular worldwide among vegetarians and vegans, and in recent years it’s also gained a following among non-vegetarians, thanks to its status as a superfood.
USES: Hatton Hill Organic's organic puffed quinoa is a super-snackable take on this wonderful and highly nutritious grain that can be eaten right out of the bag, sprinkled into a variety of dishes and used to fantastic effect in baking. Pour yourself a bowl of puffed quinoa and add dairy or non-dairy milk for a healthy, nutritious breakfast that packs more fibre than almost all other cereal grains. Sprinkle it onto yoghurt, smoothies and even ice cream – and also onto salads and vegetable dishes! Add it to baking mixes for banana bread, carrot cake, and all kinds of muffins and biscuits. It’s also great in granola, granola bars and trail mix.
