Organic Puffed Buckwheat

Size :

Organic Puffed Buckwheat by Hatton Hill Organic. Made from buckwheat organically grown, harvested and dried in Ukraine. Packed in the UK.

Buckwheat is believed to have been first cultivated more than 8,000 years ago in Southeast Asia. It was one of the first crops introduced to North America by early European settlers and it's a staple food in much of Eastern Europe.

Despite its name, buckwheat has nothing to do with wheat: it's a cereal, and naturally gluten-free. Hatton Hill Organic’s puffed buckwheat consists of the heart-shaped seeds of the buckwheat plant, which is part of the rhubarb family. The seeds have a toasted, nutty flavour, and they're naturally gluten-free.

Hatton Hill Organic's organic puffed buckwheat is a super-snackable take on this wonderful and highly nutritious grain that can be eaten right out of the bag, sprinkled into a variety of dishes and used to fantastic effect in baking. Pour yourself a bowl of puffed buckwheat and add dairy or non-dairy milk for a healthy, nutritious breakfast that packs a whole lot of fibre. Sprinkle it onto yoghurt and smoothies – and also onto salads and vegetable dishes! Add it to baking mixes for banana bread, carrot cake, and all kinds of muffins and biscuits. It’s also great in granola, granola bars and trail mix.
