Organic Potato Flakes

Size :

Organic Potato Flakes by Hatton Hill Organic. Made from potatoes organically grown in Finland/Sweden. Packed in the UK.

Potato flakes may not be top of your list when it comes to kitchen cupboard essentials, but perhaps they should be. When most people think of dehydrated potato, they think of making instant mash, yet there's so much more to this humble spud product than meets the eye.

Of course, our organic potato flakes are an incredibly quick and easy way to whip up lovely, creamy mash, but did you know you can use them a lot like flour (but gluten-free!) to thicken gravies, sauces and soups? You can also put them to work to make a range of crackers and light, airy breads (focaccia is one of our favourites), to create your own gnocchi and croquettes, and to add moistness to meatloaves and bean loaves. For the best hashbrown you've ever eaten, just add potato flakes to the mix and watch them lend crispness and cohesion to all your other ingredients.

Among chefs, one of the most popular uses of potato flakes is as a gluten-free substitute for breadcrumbs. Try crusting chicken pieces or fish by dipping them in a little beaten egg and then roll them in our potato flakes to give them a crispy golden crust when fried or baked. Perfection!
