Organic Orzo (Risoni)

Size :

Organic Orzo (Risoni) by Hatton Hill Organic. Made from durum wheat organically grown, harvested and dried in Italy. Packed in the UK.

Orzo is a variety of pasta that looks a lot like grains of rice, and which is about the same size. It's also known as risoni, and it's one of the small types of pasta that are known as pastini in Italy.

Our organic orzo is more versatile than larger varieties of pasta – think of how you use rice and you'll get the idea. It's often classified as a soup pasta – and it is indeed a terrific addition to soups, adding volume, taste and texture – but it's so much more than just that.

Sprinkle it onto salads, stir it into stews (no need to pre-cook – just add our orzo around 8-10 minutes before the dish has finished cooking) use it as a bed for vegetable, fish and meat dishes, cook it as you would any other pasta and toss with a little extra-virgin olive oil, pine nuts, chopped tomatoes and basil for a fresh and delicious easy main course, and use it to stuff roasted peppers and other vegetables. For a cute little pasta, our organic orzo has a big range of uses!
