Organic Camu Camu Powder by Hatton Hill Organic. Ground from camu camu berries organically grown, harvested and dried in Peru. Packed in the UK.

Camu camu berries grow on a shrub named Myrciaria dubiai, native to the rainforests of Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The fruit, which we dry and grind into powder, is said to be the world's most concentrated natural source of vitamin C, with one teaspoon of camu camu powder containing around 700mg – more than 1,100% of the recommended daily vitamin C intake.

Fresh camu camu berries are very sour, tart and extremely difficult to come by outside the region where they're grown, but our organic camu camu powder offers a handy way to incorporate this superfood into your diet. Add it to smoothies and shakes, sprinkle it over oatmeal, granola, muesli or other breakfast cereals, top yoghurt with it, add it to salad dressings or stir it into water, tea, seltzers or other drinks to get a super-potent dose of vitamin C and the other antioxidants it contains. You can also blend it into ice-cream and sorbets (fruity flavours work best) and incorporate it into dishes that require cooking, such as meat, fish, pasta and vegetable preparations, although heat somewhat reduces its nutritional profile.

Certified as organic by the UK’s Soil Association (licence no. DA22427).
