Dried Barberries by Hatton Hill. Grown, harvested and dried in Turkey. Packed in the UK.

PURE, PREMIUM PRODUCT: Barberries, known in Persian as zereshk, are widely used in Iranian cooking. They're the tart, red berries of the Berberis vulgaris plant, and are also used in other Middle Eastern and Central Asian cuisines.

USES: Similar in their cute size to currants, and with the attractive ruby hue of cranberries, barberries are perfect for adding a burst of tart flavour to grain-based dishes such as pilafs and couscous, to say nothing of their visual appeal. They're a lovely addition to salads, especially to chicken salads, and also to pastries, scones, muffins, other baked goods, and desserts (they're popular in sweet treats in India). In Russia, they're used to flavour drinks and candies.
