Organic Rolled Oat Flakes

Organic Rolled Oat Flakes by Hatton Hill Organic. Organically grown, harvested, dried and packed in the UK.

Oat flakes are whole oat kernels that are steamed, flattened by passing them through rollers, then flaked to become a cereal that's both nutritious and quick to cook. Oats have a somewhat humble reputation, but they're actually one of the world's most nutrient-dense foods, with stacks of carbohydrates and fibre, and a solid dose of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins B1 and B5, in addition to manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc.

Our organic rolled oat flakes are an unbeatable slow-release energy food that'll keep you fuller for longer, making a thick, satisfying porridge. They're excellent for making overnight oats if you're in a hurry at breakfast time, they're great in granola, and they're a marvellous ingredient in muffins, cookies and other baked goods.

Add them to smoothies and shakes to pump up their protein and fibre content, use them to make the delicious and healthy Southern Indian dish upma with carrots, beans, peas, cashews and a little chilli, sprinkle them into soups, casseroles, omelettes and other savoury dishes, and combine them with honey and other ingredients to make your own flapjacks. There's a lot more to our oat flakes than just porridge!
