Kashmiri Chilli Powder

Size :

Kashmiri Chilli Powder by Hatton Hill. Ground from Kashmiri chillies grown, harvested and dried in India. Packed in the UK.

Kashmiri chillies are warmer than paprika and milder than cayenne, ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 Scoville heat units (by comparison, the green jalapeño chillis dished up in Mexican restaurants typically rate around 5,000 heat units).

Hatton Hill's Kashmiri chilli powder is ground from chillies grown, carefully harvested at just the right time to preserve their wonderful, rich colour, and packed promptly to lock in its hue, flavour and aroma.

Kashmiri chilli powder is used liberally in Indian and Kashmiri foods. It's a key ingredient in many curries and stews and famous South Asian dishes such as rogan josh and tandoori chicken, used to add vibrant colour and a warm flavor without the spiciness often associated with other types of chillies. It's superb added to sauces, marinades and soups both within the culinary traditions of the Indian subcontinent and beyond.
