Hatton Hill Organic’s organic corn flour is a naturally gluten-free flour made by grinding dried corn kernels (maize). Like the corn from which it’s made, it tastes earthy and a little sweet.

Our organic corn flour is a kitchen cupboard essential with a wide range of uses. It can be used to make breads, pancakes, waffles and pastries. Whether it’s used as the sole flour ingredient in baking or in combination with wheat flour, it gives all of these creations a distinctive and delicious flavour.

Corn flour is widely used in the cuisine of the southern United States, particularly for breading fired foods such as fish, chicken and vegetables, so if you fancy a taste of the South, it’s indispensable.

Not to be confused with corn starch – corn flour shares that ingredient’s versatility when it comes to thickening sauces, curries, soups and mixed vegetables/meat for frying, although it’s much more nutritious, as it’s made from the whole corn kernel, not just its starchy interior portion. Try using it in your own MSG-free Chinese-style sweet & sour dishes, fish cakes, meatballs and more.
